This paper examines the impact of higher education on China's manufacturing industry performance from national and regional levels fixed effects model. The research shows that development has significantly promoted improvement performance. If increases by 1%, will increase 0.239%. Through internal mechanism test, it is found can improve increasing R&D projects, new product projects enterprise invention patents.
